The Portraits

Graphical I am focused at this time mainly on studies of faces. Exciting is that a range of media is captured one face in different angles. On some of these many, also general public known faces, I stop and stay.

It is an expression of the moment of Inward vision, which allows me to be observant to a face. And when it strikes me, it keeps me.

The view in the faces through the different media is as captivating as the encounters of those from the surrounding area.

The lines, which are formed when the lower lip meets the upper lip, the dynamics of the sidelines of the nose, the crossing of the folds, they are so individual narrative that I'm in drawing often catch myself  in quite expectant idea how the soul lives inside that wearing this head.

I see myself primarily as a portraitist. Especially on the canvas with thick oil. Even as a child I could not escape  every face, and when one face had a special feature, so I was long since succumbed to the expression.

The view inside, I tried to explain before, then when man indeed physically present but otherwise his soul has forgotten this, this moment is for me the most important word, which a human is able to send or receive. It just the expression that is simple. He is controlled by anything, except be inspired by the existence of the spirit from the somewhere

Now I find myself in no way as a psychologist or a philosopher, I am subjected of these simple magic and I try to carry this moment into the images. The many drawings are similar to many small etudes. It's the hunt for the moment of the soul. It is my wish Understand why this volatility shows so much depth. It's a little longing for unknown dynamics.

So much for explanatory self-reflection to the theme a portrait.
